We are SO grateful that you are considering putting your life on hold to witness and celebrate the beginning of our marriage!We know that destination weddings are not simple for guests; we've compiled some notes here to help with planning your trip.

We are planning on hosting several social events over the weekend, likely starting Friday the 22nd. We will update this website with events and details as they are planned. (Things like a zoo outing, dinners, and social drinks out somewhere fun in the Springs.) We'd love to have you present for whatever you are able, and we can't wait to see you - to catch up, or meet for the first time - and to build lovely new memories with you! Thank you for being here!

Flights

For those of you coming from out of town, we'd recommend searching for flights into both Denver and Colorado Springs and see what works better for you. Denver is about an hour and a half away.

Denver-Colorado Springs Shuttle

If you fly into Denver and you're NOT renting a car for your visit (uber/lyft are available and good options in Colorado Springs) Groome (link below) provides shuttle service from the Denver Airport into the Springs for about $50/per person. (Great option for solo travelers - it can get pricey with multiples.) Their Park &amp; Ride is about 3 minutes from our house as well, so this is a great option.

Please let us know if you need help getting transport to the Springs! We are happy to make the drive for pickups if we can, and we have beautiful friends who are willing to do pickup drives as well!

Discounted Hotel Blocks

We have a block of discounted hotel rooms reserved at two different hotels in the area; one closer to the church on the outskirts of town (Staybridge Suites), and one closer to the downtown area where you can walk and sightsee Colorado Springs. A link to book the discounted rooms at Staybridge Suites is below, and when our downtown hotel is set, we will link that information below as well! Need a friend to share room costs with?Many out of town guests are opting to team up with other guests and split AirBNB's or hotel room costs. If you'd like to do this but don't know who to share with, please let us know and we will try to coordinate a connection for you to talk to other guests (who we think you'd personally get along with) who'd also like to split accommodation costs!

This hotel is 7 minutes from the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. Rooms here have full kitchens, so if you are wanting to save money on food by having your own groceries, this is going to be a great option. They're across the street from a Walmart Supercenter, as well as a gas station. They have a huge, super nice hot breakfast (also saving you money on food!), a full fitness center, pool/jacuzzi, and laundry is free. There are two room options - one is a simple queen studio (still with a kitchen), and the other is larger with two queen beds and is set up with seperate bedroom &amp; living room areas, also with a fold out sofa bed option - this will be great for families with kiddos, or friend groups that want to share room costs. Staybridge Suites - Colorado Springs NE Powers

This hotel is 25 minutes away from St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, but it is right in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs for those that prefer to stay in the heart of the city. They provide a full hot breakfast buffet, a fitness center, and pool/jacuzzi. You can walk anywhere in the downtown neighborhood, and Old Colorado City is 2 miles away. There is only valet parking here, but there are many paid lots on the block with day rates if you're renting a car. Two room options available here as well - two queens or a King and a sofa bed, both are $189/night. PLEASE USE THIS LINK BELOW to guarantee you are getting our blocked room rate!!! Hyatt Place Colorado Springs / Downtown

RV Friends

For those of you driving your RV's to town - there are several RV parks in the area, and we'd recommending booking your spots early as summer is prime RV season here! If you're looking for some peaceful nature outside of the city, Falcon Meadow Campground (link below) is less than 10 minutes from the church, and provides a beautiful, sweeping view across the 20,000 acre Banning-Lewis Ranch with Pikes Peak on display above it all. RV sites average about $50/night. If you'd like to be closer to the hustle &amp; bustle of the city and points of interest in Colorado Springs-proper, Garden of the Gods RV Park (link below) is nestled right between Garden of the Gods and Red Rock Canyon Open Space and very near the Old Colorado City downtown area. Since this will be peak season, you are likely looking at an average of $80-$90/night.

Friday Zoo Day! 

Friday morning (August 22) we will be heading to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with a picnic lunch (pack your own lunch!). Everyone is welcome to join us, and we'd love to see you there! This zoo is one of our favorite places to hang out; there are so many animals to meet and feed and interact with. Friday Immediate-Family-Only Meet & Greet Dinner

Early Friday evening the immediate families of Jason and Bekah are going to be meeting for dinner so they can get to know eachother a little bit while they're all in the same city. Thank you for understanding that this gathering is intimate and reserved for immediate family only. Join us for a social hour a little bit later that evening!

Friday evening (August 22) around 6:00pm we will be grabbing drinks at Avenue 19 downtown (19 N Tejon Street, Colorado Spgs, 80903) so we can hang out and say hello to everyone who is in town early! There is a big parking garage just around the corner at 127 E Kiowa Street, Colo Spgs, 80903. Come hang out and catch up, we can't wait to see you!

Saturday Evening Church Service at Holy Theophany

Saturday evening at 6pm we're planning to be at a Vesper service at Holy Theophany Orthodox Church. If you've never seen or experienced an Orthodox Church, THIS is the one you want to experience. It's beautiful. This service usually lasts about 45 minutes - 1 hour.

Sunday Morning at Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Church

Jason and Bekah will be going to church on Sunday morning at 9:30 at Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Church (The same church that the service will be held later in the afternoon). Everyone is welcome to attend! As an FYI, Orthodox churches have limited seating for those with difficulty standing for long periods. Most people stand for the duration of the services, but you're absolutely able to claim a seat, come and go, leave early, sit outside, or sit in the fellowship hall during the service if you're uncomfortable standing for long periods.) This service typically lasts ~2 hours.

Immediately following the wedding service we will move to the fellowship hall at Saint John the Baptist Orthodox Church for drinks, a bbq dinner, dance party, photobooth, and a loaded dessert truck to celebrate Jason and Bekah entering into marital bliss. There will be a fun surprise for the kiddos present too!

After the reception winds down at Saint John's, anyone is welcome to join us in Jason and Bekah's backyard to have a little more time for hanging out, catching up and celebrating. Drinks will still be flowing, please drink responsibly. :)

Best zoo in the world! Feed the giraffes and hang out with the free-range wallabies.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

The sweetest tea room! A beautiful collection of high-quality teas to smell and shop from, as well as a place to sit and chat over fresh-brewed tea and small bites (or a full lunch if you prefer). The staff here will prepare your tea of choice in a quick little tea ceremony at your table and leave you to enjoy your company over fresh tea. You can choose to sit at a "normal" american table, or at a traditional low table where you'll take your shoes off and sit on a cushion on the floor. I've walked in and had no problems with getting a table, but you can make a reservation if you don't want to miss this sweet experience!

Yellow Mountain Tea House

Dreamy park close to everything. Easy to park at many viewpoints and walk around, or take a little afternoon drive through the whole park.

Garden of the Gods

This is generally a 3.5 hour round-trip adventure. Ride the cog rail up and down Pike's Peak. See the world from the top. :) Rates are $60-$82 per person.
